Gies College of Business
Department of Finance
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Gies College of Business and a faculty affiliate for the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities at the University of Notre Dame. In 2021, I became the first recipient of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Promote Diversity in the Economics Profession.
My research focuses on understanding the role of stereotypes and discrimination in settings like the labor market and schools using a combination of experiments and surveys. My current research projects relate to how women respond to potential discrimination in the labor market, the effect of stereotypes on academic outcomes of black college students, and the influence of the social justice movement on faculty productivity.
I also co-organized a biweekly online Seminar on the Economics of Discrimination and Disparities with Olga Stoddard and Barbara Biasi. Click here to see the seminar schedule and call for papers.
